Who are we?

So, what you would notice first is that we are a large family. I mean, when we walk into a room we kind of overtake things. Alex and I have 5 kids. Our family is built on a combo of foster, adopted and bio kids. We have 1 teenager, 1 almost teenager, 2 little guys, and a little princess.

Our family is big on family. We spend lots and lots of time together. I guess you really can't help it when there is always someone around. Since we are fostering and have adopted kiddos from foster care, we are big on attachment work. We do lots of family meals, games, and movies. The kids don't have TVs and they really only hang out in their rooms when they need some space.

Right now we are homeschooling 3 of our kids. The grades are kind of spaced out, k, 2nd, and 8th. It's challenging to meet those different levels each day, but we seem to be making it work. So far, we are about 2 1/2 years in and I love it more and more each day! I have seen family ties grow every day, kids learn specific things they are interested in, and watched them help each other through hard things. It is really a joy to see how homeschooling has changed our family.

That just about sums it up for now. We work hard, like to enjoy life, and are continually building family ties.
